How to optimize the shoper website

In this article, we'll look at what aspects you need to pay attention when optimizing a Shoper website.

We will explain how to add and format content, optimize graphics or how to run a blog effectively.

Learn the secrets of the Shoper platform and get the highest positions in search results!

The owners of online stores are well aware of the fact that without proper optimization of their products and effective advertising, they are not able to achieve satisfactory sales and stay ahead of their competitors. There are many solutions to make these activities easier, one of which is the Shoper platform. If you own a store or are considering choosing this platform and want to learn how to optimize it properly to be at the top of the search results list, then this article is for you! See for yourself how to effectively position a website based on Shoper.

1. Running a blog on the Shoper platform

When optimizing a website based on Shoper it is worth taking a look at the Blog module that allows you to create a professional company blog, thanks to which we can build our position as an expert in the industry, as well as reach potential customers.

If you want to start a blog on the Shoper platform, just go to Content/ Blog. There you will find a list of all published entries, along with information about their author, publication date or number of comments. From here, you can also add a post, create a new category of posts or moderate comments under published articles.

2. Adding and optimizing content

Content is an inseparable element of every website and online store. In the case of stores, this is content placed on the home page, but primarily on category and product pages. Thanks to the extensive editor, the Shoper software enables intuitive and simple content editing and publication.

If you want to add content to a selected category, all you have to do is select the Assortment/Categories tab in the Shoper’s administration panel, and then select the category for which you want to change the description. In the middle of the screen you will find the Category description section, where you can add and format content using a simple editor.

Editing content with the help of a ready editor does not require specialized knowledge or programming skills. However, if we would like to edit the text with code, the Shoper software provides this option. Just in the Category description field, click View/ Source code to freely edit our content using HTML code.

The situation is similar when adding content to a specific product. Just go to the Assortment/ Products tab, then select the item and click its edition. After the product is loaded, go to the Description tab, where you can set a short and long description of the product.

3. Optimizing headlines in the online store

An important issue when optimizing a page on the Shoper platform is the ability to set appropriate headers. Of course, the most important is one H1 header, which we should create for each subpage using the appropriate keyword.

The shoper automatically creates the H1 header using the subpage title, depending on its type. In the specific product tab, the H1 heading will be the name of the product, for a category subpage it will be the name of this category, and for a blog entry the title of the article.

Creating lower-order headers, and therefore mainly H2 or H3, on category and product pages is done using an editor in which we add content to a specific subpage. Just select the fragment you want to set as the H2 header or subheading, then click Format/ Formats/ Headers and choose the type you want.

4. Photos and their positioning

Anytime you miss a call from one of your clients – whether from the group of the ones
that are constantly asking the same question, the ones that are complaining a lot or
from the top clients – you know well who to call back first. Labelcall delivers all the
necessary information on who has been calling you and when.
Just like any mobile
device? Not exactly, as Labelcall sends you precise information not only who was
trying to reach you, but also their latest purchase, its status and all the information you
think are the most important when it comes to your clients.

5. Photos and their positioning

Photos are an inseparable element of every page. They grab the user’s attention and also help to distinguish and spice up long content. In today’s post, we’ll look at why it’s worth exploring the topic of positioning photos and graphics, and learn how to do it the right way.

Did you know that as much as 63.4% of internet content is images? This is probably due to the fact that photos of people, food, but also abstract graphics have a much stronger impact on users than the text block itself. It is thanks to the photos that we find out faster what the subject of a given page is, and also make decisions about the purchase of a given product more confidently.

If you want to change alternative descriptions of product photos on the Shoper platform, all you have to do is go to the Gallery section and click the icon in the lower left corner of the thumbnail while editing the selected product.

Properly optimized images can significantly contribute to the improvement of page loading speed.

The Shoper platform is software that allows you to intuitively prepare your store and optimize it for SEO. We can easily integrate the Shop-based store with the most popular analytical tools, such as Google Analytics or Search Console.
